Skills Night › AI for Dummies

Lesson 4.2 — Understand confusing stuff

AI for Dummies · Module 4: Everyday uses · About 20 min · Phone or computer

Goal: get letters, bills and leaflets explained simply.

What you'll learn

Step 1 · Explain it

Take a photo of the document (covering names, numbers and addresses) or paste the text, then ask:

Explain this in plain English. What does it mean for me, and is there anything I need to do or a deadline?

Step 2 · Medical leaflets

It's fine to ask "What does this word mean?" about a medicine leaflet. Decisions about medicine belong with your doctor or pharmacist.

Try it now

Pick a confusing letter or bill (an old one is fine). Cover private details and ask for a plain explanation.

Safety note

Stay safe: Cover or cut out names, account numbers, Medicare or tax file numbers before taking the photo.

✅ Done when

Stuck? Ask Brett or the Skills Coach. Screenshots help (cover private details).
