Skills Night › AI for Dummies

Lesson 2.2 — Your first conversation

AI for Dummies · Module 2: Getting started safely · About 20 min · Phone or computer

Goal: have a back-and-forth chat and start fresh when needed.

What you'll learn

Step 1 · Ask and follow up

  1. Ask: "What are some easy indoor plants for a sunny window?"
  2. Follow up: "Which of those is safe for cats?"

It remembers what you said earlier in the same chat, so you don't need to repeat yourself.

Step 2 · Start a new chat

When you change topic, tap New chat (often a pencil or + icon). Old topics can confuse new answers.

Step 3 · Talk instead of typing

Most apps have a microphone or headphone icon. Tap it and just speak.

Try it now

Plan a simple lunch with friends: ask for ideas, then follow up with "make it vegetarian".

Safety note

Stay safe: Chats are saved to your account. Don't type anything you wouldn't want stored (see 2.3).
