Lesson 2.1 — Set up one assistant

Goal: install one AI app safely and sign in.

What you'll learn

Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
Search the name, e.g. ChatGPT.
Check the maker: OpenAI for ChatGPT, Google LLC for Gemini, Microsoft for Copilot, Anthropic for Claude, xAI for Grok.
Tap Install.

On a computer, go to the website instead: chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com, claude.ai or grok.com.

Use your normal Google, Apple or Microsoft login, or your email. Signing in keeps your chat history.

Type "Hello! What can you help me with?" and read the reply.

Stay safe: If an app asks for payment straight away to "unlock" it, you probably have a fake. Delete it and check the maker's name.
