Lesson 6.2 — The 2-source check

AI for Dummies · Module 6: When AI gets it wrong · About 15 min · Phone or computer

Goal: check important facts quickly.

What you'll learn

Step 1 · The check

For anything important, confirm with two trusted sources:

  1. Ask the AI: "Where did that come from? Give me links."
  2. Open the link and see if it really says that.
  3. Check one more trusted source: a government site (.gov.au), your bank's official site, or a well-known organisation.

Step 2 · Trusted places

Try it now

Ask AI a health or money question, then check the answer on healthdirect or moneysmart.

Safety note

Stay safe: A link the AI gives you can be wrong, or even lead to a dodgy site. Type well-known addresses yourself.
